Wide awake at 3am

Monday, November 13th, 2006

Its 3am, and I’ve tossed and turned and counted sheep to no avail.  Kinda figured that a good run in the afternoon would burn off excess energy, but the opposite effect has happened; there’s too much adrenaline running around in my body with no release valve.

Here’s where I seriously wish I taped some lectures at UCLA.  The professor names are starting to float away, but Dr. Rohr stands out.  Not for the quality of his lectures, but the monotony and droning quality of his voice.  It’d be enough to put a 7-year-old to sleep.

The king and prince of attack ads

Tuesday, November 7th, 2006

Today on NPR’s “All Things Considered” they interviewed the “King” and “Prince” of the attack ads.  Politics aside, its a pretty funny segment.  Especially about halfway through the stream when they have the two put a nasty spin on the nursery rhymes “Humpty Dumpty” and “London Bridge Is Falling Down”.
